About us... how
and why?
The important thing is to listen. To understand nature, animals, and humans. To raise awareness in order to preserve them.

It is not necessary to have total self-control, a deep knowledge of the heart, to give to others. The gift is held on the surface of the lips, in the turn of a gesture. It is light to carry. It grows in innocence and in light.

Genesis of the sanctuary
The Sanctuaire La Garie is the work of Stéphanie Noël-Homs, who since childhood has dreamed of offering a real life to farm animals.
In 2017, she designed an innovative sanctuary concept where animals can live in peace and benefit from the space necessary for their development according to ethologically acceptable criteria. At the same time, the site can accommodate groups of visitors who wish to immerse themselves in this new life for the animals, to better understand all the issues surrounding the cause of these animals.
The sanctuary is designed in harmony with the surrounding nature, also allowing humans to recharge their batteries.
The project took shape at the end of 2018 with the acquisition of a 55-hectare estate with a renovated farmhouse, located in the heart of the magnificent Comminges region, southwest of Toulouse. Work began immediately on the arrangements for the animals.

The association...
The sanctuary is managed by " Le Geste de La Garie ", an association chaired by Stéphanie Noël-Homs.
Its goal is to ensure the viability and sustainability of the sanctuary, supported by various projects that support its mission. The association is a closed organization, not recruiting members or charging fees. Its funding comes from the founders' own funds, visitor stays, sponsorship projects, and alternative financing solutions.
The sanctuary also hosts " Le Groupe du Geste ," an association led by George Homs. The latter runs a virtual think tank aimed at promoting animal rights through political, economic, legal, and financial projects.
